Relationships are complicated.
Therapy doesn’t have to be.
Premier relationship, attachment and intimacy practice in Utah
Relationship and sexual concerns can leave you wondering whether something is wrong with you, your partner, or your relationship. At Bryner Therapy, you can talk openly about the things that feel difficult, private, or painful without being judged or shamed.
We help individuals and couples understand the attachment patterns, past experiences, emotional injuries, and intimate concerns that may be keeping them from feeling close.
You may love each other…
…and still feel stuck.
“Why doesn’t my partner want me?”
“Why can’t I want sex the way I think I should?”
“I’m afraid I’ll never be enough.”
“I don’t know how to talk about this without making things worse.”
“I want to feel close again, but I don’t know where to begin.”
Maybe every conversation turns into defensiveness, withdrawal, criticism, or silence. Maybe one partner wants more sexual connection while the other feels pressure, guilt, or confusion. Perhaps trauma, betrayal, religious messages, body image concerns, or years of misunderstanding have made closeness feel complicated.
These struggles do not automatically mean that you are incompatible or that your relationship is beyond repair. They often mean that important needs, fears, and attachment injuries have not yet been understood.
Specialized therapy for the places relationships get stuck.

There is nothing wrong with you.
But there is something worth understanding.
Many people enter therapy believing they are too needy, not sexual enough, too sexual, too emotional, too distant, or somehow defective.
Bryner Therapy begins from a different place.
Your reactions usually make sense within the context of your experiences, relationships, attachment history, beliefs, and attempts to protect yourself. Therapy helps you understand those patterns with compassion while still taking responsibility for creating healthier ones.
You will not be expected to protect your therapist, perform, or make your experience sound better than it feels. This is a place where you can be honest.
A personalized approach for your unique situation.

Your values are welcome in the therapy room.
Sexual concerns can become especially painful when they are connected to faith, morality, identity, or messages about what a “good” spouse should feel or do.
Bryner Therapy can help you explore these concerns without dismissing your beliefs or using shame as a source of motivation. When faith is important to you, it can be thoughtfully incorporated into therapy in ways that support agency, responsibility, connection, and emotional safety.
Clients of every background are welcome. Therapy is guided by your values—not assumptions about what those values should be.
Annie’s public information identifies spirituality as an area of experience and specifically discusses supporting people affected by religious sexual shame.
